Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Techno‑Functional MES/MOM Consultant with 9–12 years of expertise in delivering manufacturing execution solutions across diverse MES platforms. This role requires a balanced mix of functional manufacturing knowledge and hands-on technical capability across configuration, minor development, troubleshooting, and system integration.
The consultant will work closely with business teams, plant operations, technical developers, and solution architects to deliver high‑quality MES/MOM solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities
- Engage with manufacturing, quality, operations, and engineering teams to understand business processes and translate them into MES functional requirements.
- Perform business process mapping aligned with ISA‑95 and ISA‑88 standards.
- Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and fit-gap analysis.
- Create functional specifications, configuration documents, test scenarios, and SOPs.
- Support UAT, end-user training, and change management activities.
Technical Responsibilities
- Configure and customize MES modules such as production execution, quality, genealogy, traceability, material management, downtime, and OEE.
- Perform minor development tasks such as scripts, workflows, rule-based configurations, and UI adjustments.
- Work with SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for troubleshooting and reporting.
- Support integration with PLC/SCADA, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), historians, and plant-floor devices using APIs, OPC, MQTT, or web services.
- Troubleshoot production issues, analyze logs, and provide L2/L3 support.
Project Delivery
- Participate in solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Work with multi-site deployment teams and provide functional/technical alignment across plants.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing and IT governance standards.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, SMEs, and product owners to maintain solution consistency.

Required Skills
Experience with at least one or more MES/MOM technologies, such as:
- GE Proficy – Plant Applications, Workflow, Historian
- Rockwell FTPC / Plex MES
- Siemens Opcenter / Camstar
- Aveva/Wonderware MES
- Dassault Apriso
- SAP MII / ME / DMC
- Honeywell POMS, Parsec TrakSYS, AspenTech, etc.
Plus:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes: production, quality, materials, maintenance, WIP, genealogy.
- Good understanding of OT/IT integrations and manufacturing data flows.
- Strong SQL (MS SQL / Oracle) skills for analysis and support.
- Ability to write functional specs, test cases, and deployment documents.
- Experience in L2/L3 support for large manufacturing plants.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Industry 4.0, IIoT solutions, and data analytics platforms.
- Basic scripting/programming exposure (C#, Java, Python, or platform-specific scripting).
- Experience working with Agile delivery practices.
- Experience with cloud-hosted MES or containerized deployments.
Experience & Education
- 9–12 years of experience in MES/MOM implementations or support.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience working in global multi-plant manufacturing environments is a plus.
