Your Role

As a Domain Expert in Orthopedics, you will play a critical role in developing next‑generation digital surgery and robotic-assisted solutions for global MedTech leaders. You will bridge clinical orthopedic expertise with advanced engineering, digital, and robotic technologies. This position involves close collaboration across PLM, MES, Clinical, Engineering, and IT teams to influence product design, innovation, and overall surgical workflow optimization.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide domain expertise across orthopedic specialties including joint reconstruction, sports medicine, digital surgery workflows, and robotic systems.
  • Guide teams on surgical navigation, intraoperative imaging, AI-driven surgical planning, and integrated surgical workflows in hospitals.
  • Contribute to solution design involving DICOM, HL7/FHIR and support integration with EMR, PACS, and other hospital systems.
  • Deliver training to teams on surgical workflow stages, orthopedic instrumentation, surgical kit management, and human anatomy.
  • Engage with client stakeholders to provide insights into market trends, competitor movements, and emerging technologies in digital and robotic surgery.
  • Support pre-sales and business development through RFX responses, bid-defense presentations, and customer-facing discussions.
  • Create marketing collaterals like whitepapers, case studies, blogs, and points of view.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, and reusable assets from ongoing engagements.
  • Work closely with delivery, sales, and solution teams to define customer value propositions and solution strategies.
  • Conduct research on client accounts, business synergies, outsourcing opportunities, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, hospitals, and academic bodies for knowledge exchange and innovation.
  • Stay updated with global regulatory frameworks such as FDA, EU MDR, HIPAA, GDPR and guide compliance considerations.
  • Contribute to system design, manufacturing alignment, and clinical outcomes by working with PLM, MES, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Readiness to work from the office 5 days a week with minimum 9 productive hours/day (Non‑Negotiable).

Your Profile

Experience

  • BE (preferably Biomedical) with 9–14+ years of experience OR
  • MTech (Biomedical) with 9 –14+ years OR
  • MBBS + MTech/MMST with 10–12+ years of experience
    in Medical Devices or Engineering Services.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong domain specialization in Orthopedics with hands-on understanding of orthopedic surgical procedures.
  • Knowledge of joint reconstruction, sports medicine, digital surgical workflows, robotic-assisted systems, and clinical practices.
  • Experience with surgical navigation systems, intraoperative imaging, and AI-driven surgical planning (preferred).
  • Strong exposure to MedTech standards and regulatory frameworks including:
    • IEC62304, ISO13485, SOUP/COTS validation, Design History File (DHF)
  • Working knowledge of DICOM, HL7/FHIR, and hospital IT systems (EMR, PACS).
  • Experience in regulated environments: FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, EU MDR.
  • Knowledge of digital health platforms and robotic surgical solution development is an advantage.
