DeltaV Engineer

Job Description

Your Role

As a DeltaV Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, delivering, and supporting Emerson DeltaV DCS and DeltaV Batch Automation solutions for global biopharma manufacturing environments.

You will work closely with engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure compliant, reliable, and high‑performing automation systems that meet regulatory and industry standards.

In This Role, You Will:

• Design and configure DeltaV DCS Batch solutions aligned with ISA‑88/95, GAMP, and GxP guidelines.
• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery including design, configuration, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and system handover.
• Develop and test Equipment Modules (EMs), Phases, Unit Procedures, and Batch Recipes.
• Support system installations, upgrades, customization, and configuration activities.

Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q)

• Deliver automation support for IQ/OQ/PQ phases in biopharma environments.
• Ensure successful qualification of DeltaV systems and maintain compliance with global regulatory frameworks.
• Resolve issues related to automation, software, and batch execution.

Operational Support

Provide high-quality operational support including:

• Incident Management
• Service Request Fulfillment
• Major Incident & Problem Management
• Change Management
• Service Level Management
• Troubleshooting across DeltaV components and batch execution systems

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Drive system performance enhancement, reliability improvements, and automation optimization.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives, accelerators, templates, and best practices.
• Collaborate with global teams to enhance solution offerings and delivery maturity.

Your Profile

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on expertise with Emerson DeltaV DCS and DeltaV Batch (S88).
• Deep understanding of automation design, troubleshooting, validation, and biopharma manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of DeltaV–MES interfaces, L2 system integrations, and reporting frameworks.
• Proficiency in:
• ISA‑88 / ISA‑95
• GAMP, GxP
• 21 CFR Part 11

Professional Experience

• Proven experience in commissioning and qualification of biopharma facilities.
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Experience working directly with global stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
