Datacom DB Admin

Your Role

• Administer, maintain, and optimize mainframe databases with a focus on Datacom and VSAM.
• Ensure database availability, performance, and security.
• Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and other objects.
• Perform database tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning.
• Monitor and manage database performance, including regular maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

Your Profile

• Minimum 6 to 14 years relevant experience.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data models, data flow diagrams, and database architecture.
• Implement and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards.
• Collaborate with application developers to optimize database interactions and support development efforts.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across database systems.
• Conduct regular backups and recovery operations to safeguard data.
• Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices.
