Your Role
Responsibilities:
Technical Direction: Provide technical guidance for the account
Proposal Reviews: Conduct technical reviews of proposals
Capacity Monitoring: Monitor capacity and provide input for capacity management
Risk Management: Identify and assess risks
Recommendations: Offer recommendations to Solution Architects and Sales
Efficiency Improvements: Enhance internal efficiencies and exploit technology for better service delivery
Architecture Maintenance: Own and maintain the architecture map
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as an SME in Problem Management and Major Incidents
Project Changes: Review technical aspects of project changes
Technical Dashboard: Maintain a technical dashboard/catalogue
CAB Attendance: Attend Change Advisory Board meetings
PIR Review: Focus on recommendations to prevent repeat incidents
Best Practices: Define and review best practices for technical activities
Continual Service Improvement: Leverage AWS-native tools such to identify opportunities for finops, performance tuning, and operational efficiency. These insights will feed into CSI initiatives and service review cycles.
Technical Guidance and Governance: Attendance of CCoE meetings, providing strategic technical direction across AWS workloads and environments, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and constantly evolving technology.
Transition to Support Oversight: Ensure smooth handover from projects to BAU by validating documentation, support readiness, and operational alignment to prevent delivery of incomplete or unsupported solutions.
Audit and Compliance Readiness: Ensure infrastructure—across cloud and on-prem—is aligned with internal policies and external standards by maintaining strong access controls, logging, and configuration compliance to support audit and regulatory requirements.
Your Profile
Skills and Experience:
Mandatory Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft infrastructure deployment and operational support.
Strong Level 3 expertise in intel environments.
Proven experience with AWS services (IaaS, PaaS, native tools) including architecture, performance tuning, and operational efficiency.
Solid understanding of Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Microsoft 365, and Azure AD including identity, authentication, and security services.
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) experience, including ADCS and ADFS.
VMware VCP certification with hands-on experience in vSphere, vCenter, HA, DRS, and SRM.
Proficient in Exchange and O365 administration.
Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell.
Experience with Exchange, SCOM, and automation of operational tasks.
Familiarity with vulnerability management and remediation in virtualized environments.
Installation and maintenance of Cisco, Dell, and HPE server hardware and enclosures.
Experience building, upgrading, and managing Windows Server environments (2003–2022).
Deep knowledge of core infrastructure services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy, FIM/MIM, File and Print services.
ITIL Foundation v3 Certification (or higher).
Experience maintaining compliance and audit readiness across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.
Skills:
Extensive Microsoft infrastructure experience: 5+ years in deployment and Level 3 operational support across Wintel and Windows Server environments (2003–2022), with deep knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and core services.
Hybrid cloud expertise: Strong hands-on experience with AWS (IaaS, PaaS, architecture, performance tuning) and Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), including Microsoft 365 and Azure AD identity, authentication, and security.
Virtualisation and PKI specialization: VMware VCP-certified with practical experience in vSphere, vCenter, HA, DRS, and SRM, plus PKI expertise using ADCS and ADFS.
Messaging, automation, and monitoring: Proficient in Exchange and O365 administration, SCOM, and operational automation using PowerShell scripting.
Enterprise operations and compliance: Experience with vulnerability management, ITIL-based operations, compliance and audit readiness, and hands-on server hardware support (Cisco, Dell, HPE).
