Network Security Engineer
Your Role
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Your Profile
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a network administrator role
• Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
• Ability to set up and configure server hardware
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
• Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking
Preferred Certifications:
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
• F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA)
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty or equivalent Azure certifications
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, F5, and Cisco technologies
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Dependable and flexible when necessary
• Network security experience
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
