Your Role

This role will assist and support client’s ICT (Information and Communication Technology) environments by recommending best practices to follow and implement.

Please be aware that this is a 6 month fixed term contract. 

The responsibilities include supporting local and remote staff with any IT device that would sit on a desk or is portable. This includes deploying and reclaiming software and any hardware repairs/replacements or requests.

 

  • Provide first and second line technical support via phone, email or in person.
  • Good understanding of ITIL process (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge Management and Service Asset Configuration Management.
  • Assist in the delivery of Service Asset and Configuration Management, process and supporting tools.
  • Understanding of the windows software installation process is essential.
  • Provide a high level of customer service for all support queries.
  • Ensure that all calls (however initiated) are managed within the ITSM system.
  • Production of clear and concise work instruction documentation as required.
  • A strong ability to troubleshoot and collate information to aid in the resolution of user operability issues.

Your Profile

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft software and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Visio.
  • Strong working knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT software.
  • Good working knowledge of computer hardware.
  • Good understanding of the Windows operating systems especially Windows 10.
  • Understanding of the window software installation process is essential.
  • Understanding of Microsoft networking environment is essential.
