Desktop Engineer

Your Role

This role will assist and support client’s ICT (Information and Communication Technology) environments by recommending best practices to follow and implement.

The responsibilities include supporting local and remote staff with any IT device that would sit on a desk or is portable. This includes deploying and reclaiming software and any hardware repairs/replacements or requests.

 

Responsibilities:

  • General troubleshooting of issues with hardware or applications that fail to start.
  • Face to face support.
  • Installation of software
  • Audio Visual meeting room support.
  • Desk fitouts (physically need to be able to do cabling on/under a desk and lift equipment such as a monitor).
  • Liaising with vendors for warranties, repairs and replacements.
  • Identify service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for Capgemini’s customers
  • Assist with projects as required     
  • Provide a positive customer experience.

Your Profile

Experience and Qualifications

  • Exceptional knowledge of Windows Modern Desktop technologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledge of Android mobiles.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Experience working with an ITSM toolset.
