Desktop Engineer

Your Role

  • Machine wipe and build.
  • Brief Quality Assurance testing.
  • Updating Cherwell CMDB records.
  • Managing project support tickets.
  • Engaging with users of varying levels of computer literacy and ensuring the retrieval of existing PCs.
  • Reporting and collaboration with other team members, BAU, and business stakeholders.
  • Preparing retired PCs for disposal.
  • Regional Depot Support: Two team members will be traveling to regional depots to:
  • Swap machines and provide on-site user support.
  • Partially progress the wipe and build of received machines, where feasible.

Your Profile

  • Providing enterprise level technical support and customer oriented service experience
  • Ability to work on the client site 
  • Experience with supporting Windows OS
  • Experience with supporting the Office365 suite of applications
  • ITIL v3, MCITP/MCTS and/or relevant technical qualifications highly regarded
  • Ability to work with composure and professionalism when dealing with multiple demands.
  • Ability to work unsupervised on client sites
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
