Consultant, Business Technology

You’ll be contributing to our market offers, knowledge and the overall strategic goals of the practice, developing and implementing technology strategy, architecture, and operating models for clients in both public and private sectors. In delivery and leadership, you’ll be responsible for advising technology leaders on strategic matters by developing executive level decision support deliverables and contributing to consulting sales pursuits. Whether you have been working as part of a small team or leading large or complex engagements, Capgemini Invent will develop you to become a confident and credible CIO advisor. In this role you will play a key role in:

• Working with CIOs, GMs and Head of departments to craft strategy and roadmaps
• Driving technology transformation efforts and creating initiatives and business cases to drive strategic value
• Conducting in-depth research, benchmarking and analysis to support platform and IT strategy development and opportunities or modernisation and value uplift
• Architecting next generation, enterprise-grade solutions based on best-of-breed technologies
• Supporting vendor/tool evaluation and selection processes
• Creating and implementing IT operating models to enhance efficiency
• Analysing IT cost structures and provide insights on application portfolio optimisation, transparency, and value tracking
• Leading Agile and technology transformation initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
• Analysing engineering practices and helping uplift performance, tooling, automation, and ways of working
• Working with delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented as designed
• Facilitating stakeholder workshops to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and align on outcomes
• Managing and developing strong client stakeholder relationships
• Supporting IT due diligence, integration planning, and separation planning for M&A programs

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in management consulting or a related role
• Strong understanding of platform strategy, IT strategy, and/or IT operating models
• Experience with Agile methodologies and technology transformation processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including stakeholder engagement and facilitation
• A strong sense of personal continuous improvement - growing your skill sets, learning new tools or sharing techniques across a community
• Enthusiasm, to be a source of motivation for individuals and teams and able to lead teams to self-organisation
• Passion for technology such as Generative AI, Cloud, Post-Quantum Cryptography etc.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, ambiguous consulting environments
• Ability to travel as needed or be onsite at client 

You will also be comfortable working in a technology-driven environment and bring proven skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:  

• IT Strategy, AI and Business Case development
• Enterprise Architecture & Governance, Solution Architecture & Design, Cloud advisory and strategy
• IT Operating Model, DevOps
• Platform Value Acceleration, application rationalisation and modernisation, ITSM, SIAM
• Digital Excellence, software engineering
• IT Cost takeout and value optimisation, M&A due diligence
