Short Description

OSS Solution Expert to maintain, support, and evolve Vodafone's OSS solution, which consists of three core components: GUI Server, Application Server, and Jump Server with TestFramework (TFW).
The role will be responsible for VNF to CNF migration, Linux OS administration/security hardening, deployment of new image deliveries, and supporting development of new applications and features. The engineer will also play a critical role in the OSS roadmap, focusing on upgrades, security compliance, and full CNF transformation.

Expert Level

• Linux OS (AlmaLinux) administration and troubleshooting.
• Linux OS security hardening and IDM integration.
• VNF/CNF Engineering and migration expertise(Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• OVF (Open Virtualization Format) installation & deployment.
• Avamar Backup and recovery concepts for OSS.
• Linux scripting and shell programming.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting tools (SSH, Wireshark, etc.)
• Network testing (multi-interface, inter-CNF communication, latency), performance testing (high availability, failover, and scaling), and security validation.

Intermediate level

• Python, Perl, Java programming for automation and tool integration.
• PCF NPC architecture and integration.
• Counters, Alarming, and Performance Management (MantaRay – NetAct).
• Hands-on with cloud-native orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm).

Nice to have

• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Familiarity with large-scale OSS/BSS integration projects.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks within telecom OSS.
