Short Description
Experienced BMC Solution Engineer to support the design, deployment, and troubleshooting of Nokia’s Broadcast Messaging Center (BMC) platform as part of a high-visibility customer project. The engineer will be responsible for driving technical consultation, producing detailed documentation, performing integration activities, and providing end-to-end support across both lab and production environments.
Key Responsibilities

1. BMC Design & Consultation Support - Lead technical consultation sessions with Nokia and customer teams to gather deployment and integration requirements. - Analyze and document key design inputs such as interconnectivity (e.g., C-Interface), OSS systems, LTE elements (MMEs), platform dependencies, and interface boundaries. - Develop and maintain project-specific Customer Site and Network Integration Survey (CSNIS) using Nokia standards and templates. - Populate the CSNIS with comprehensive technical data: - IP addressing schemes, routing tables, VLAN IDs - Network architecture diagrams and logical/physical layouts - DNS/NTP/SNMP configurations and system parameters - Interface and chassis configuration tables - Facilitate stakeholder review sessions and finalize deliverables based on feedback.

2. BMC Deployment & Integration Execution - Create and validate Method of Procedure (MoP) and Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) tailored to each deployment site. - Schedule integration windows and ensure alignment with customer-maintained timelines. - Perform installation and configuration of BMC platform and application software according to approved procedures. - Establish and validate connectivity with network elements, including: - NAAD Government Gateway (e.g., FEMA IPAWS) - MMEs (LTE), BSCs (GSM), RNCs (UMTS), Femto/Small Cells - EMS/OSS systems via SNMP/FTP - Conduct functional testing using live or simulated alert features to ensure end-to-end readiness

3. Troubleshooting & Post-Deployment Support - Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all technical troubleshooting related to the BMC platform. - Acknowledge service requests promptly and lead root cause analysis using logs, traces, and system diagnostics. - Engage Nokia Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed to resolve issues. - Open and manage Assistance Requests (ARs)/NCT tickets for defect handling or documentation gaps. - Provide regular status updates based on issue priority (daily for critical issues; weekly otherwise). - Deliver issue resolution summaries and conduct customer review sessions for formal closure and signoff.

Qualifications
|
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related engineering field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom infrastructure, ideally within core network, messaging systems, or broadcast alerting. - Expertise in Nokia BMC platform design, configuration, and deployment. - Strong understanding of mobile core networks (LTE, GSM, UMTS) and OSS/SNMP protocols. - Proven experience authoring and managing technical documentation (CSNIS, MoP, ATP). - Familiarity with network integration, IP addressing, VLANs, and DNS/NTP configuration. - Strong troubleshooting and coordination skills with a customer-centric approach.

- Previous experience at Nokia or with Nokia BMC deployments.
- Experience with public warning systems such as FEMA IPAWS or NAAD.
- Hands-on experience in lab validation and production rollout scenarios.
