IBM MQ

Your Role

Design, develop, and support messaging infrastructure using IBM MQ.
Configure MQ objects (queues, channels, topics, subscriptions).
Develop integration flows and message processing logic using MQ APIs (Java JMS, MQI, etc.).
Monitor and troubleshoot MQ-related issues (message delays, dead letter queues, connection failures).
Implement high availability, load balancing, and security policies for MQ environments.
Collaborate with application teams for onboarding and integration.
Automate routine MQ tasks using scripts (Shell, Python, Ansible, etc.).
Maintain documentation for MQ configurations, processes, and SLAs.Participate in capacity planning, patching, and upgrades of MQ infrastructure.

Your Profile

6+ years of hands-on experience with IBM MQ (v8 or above).

Strong knowledge of message queuing concepts, asynchronous messaging, and publish/subscribe models.
Experience with MQ clustering, security (SSL/TLS, authentication, authorization), and HA configurations.
Scripting experience in Shell, PowerShell, Python, or similar for automation.
Familiarity with integration frameworks like IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or App Connect is a plus.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., MQ Explorer, Splunk, Dynatrace) is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
