Your role
The Solution Designer is responsible for leading the end-to-end solution design process, working closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Development Teams, and Customers to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality functional and technical solutions.
This role combines business analysis, solution architecture, stakeholder engagement, and delivery oversight to ensure that customer requirements are effectively captured, designed, validated, and implemented. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Telecom Billing Systems, BSS/OSS domains, systems integration, and customer-facing solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Analysis & Business Engagement
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to conduct requirements gathering and analysis workshops.
- Understand business objectives, processes, and operational needs to define solution requirements.
- Perform FIT/GAP analysis to assess business requirements against existing product capabilities.
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Review and validate requirements with customers and obtain formal sign-off.
Solution Design & Architecture
- Design end-to-end functional and technical solutions aligned with customer business needs.
- Develop detailed solution documents, including:
- Functional specifications
- Technical design documents
- Process flows
- System interaction diagrams
- Integration designs
- Define system customizations, enhancements, and integration approaches.
- Work with Solution Architects and Development teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Obtain customer approval and sign-off on proposed solutions.
Telecom Domain Solutioning
- Design and support solutions within Telecom Billing, BSS, and OSS ecosystems.
- Leverage industry knowledge of platforms such as:
- CSG
- Amdocs
- Other telecom billing and customer management solutions
- Support integration between billing, CRM, order management, provisioning, and operational support systems.
Testing & Validation
- Participate in end-to-end solution testing and validation activities.
- Collaborate with development teams and customers during testing cycles.
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Support defect analysis, resolution validation, and customer acceptance testing (UAT).
Customer Engagement & Demonstrations
- Conduct customer demonstrations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate solution walkthroughs and design reviews with business and technical stakeholders.
- Present best practices, recommendations, and solution value propositions to customers.
- Act as a trusted advisor on solution capabilities and implementation approaches.
Data Migration & Integration
- Support data analysis, conversion, migration, and transformation activities.
- Define system interfaces, integrations, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure smooth integration between internal and third-party platforms.
- Assist in identifying data quality, mapping, and migration challenges.

Telecom & Domain Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Telecom Billing Systems, including:

- Amdocs
- Similar billing and customer management platforms
- Experience working with BSS (Business Support Systems) and OSS (Operational Support Systems) environments.

Success Profile
The ideal candidate is a customer-focused Solution Designer with strong telecom domain expertise who can seamlessly bridge business requirements and technical implementation. They excel at stakeholder management, requirements analysis, and designing scalable solutions while ensuring successful project delivery and exceptional customer outcomes in fast-paced implementation environments.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $73,150 to $ 174,000
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
