Job Description

We are searching for an Art Director with solid digital and print design fundamentals who can create and iterate upon a wide range of client marketing and sales materials - e.g., websites, emails, social media, direct mail, print collateral, etc. - as well as supervise junior designers in the same. The ideal candidate will bring previous experience in an agency design/production role, familiarity with financial services-industry subject matter from prior work with clients, comfort delivering on short timelines, and possess a strong eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Create and update client marketing materials, both digital and print, within Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud. All work should be based on an understanding of clients' brand guidelines and design templates.
• Assist in guiding and reviewing work of junior designers in achieving these same goals.
• Utilize industry best practices to help support all design decisions.
• Work under the supervision of an agency creative director.
• Partner with copywriters on the content and design for some assignments.
• Communicate with Project Managers and Proofreaders/QA team members to implement further revisions as needed during internal review.
• As needed, interface directly with clients to help clarify requirements, discuss revisions, and defend design decisions.

Qualifications:
• Must present a portfolio of digital and print design client work that demonstrates an ability to absorb, interpret, and apply client creative briefs and internal direction.
• Understand the requirements of commercial print production and apply that knowledge to project work.
• Must have strong typography skills and an understanding of color theory.
• Must demonstrate a strong understanding of how to best leverage photography and illustration to enhance design.
• Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud required.
• Fluency in Sketch and AEM is a plus.
• Should thrive in a collaborative environment, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Baseline understanding within financial services domain markets is a plus, including insurance, banking, or investments.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adhere to strict design standards."
