VP, Insurance Leader
At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Join us to drive transformation tailored to our client's challenges of today and tomorrow. Informed and validated by science and data. Superpowered by creativity and design. All underpinned by technology created with purpose.
Location
This is an Onsite role based in New York. Other HUB locations: Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas and San Francisco could be an option.
The Opportunity
Insurers across North America are rebuilding how they operate: applying AI at scale, replacing core and platforms, meeting tougher regulatory expectations and taking out cost, all at the same time. The programmes are large, multi-year and board-sponsored. They need a trusted partner that can connect strategy to execution.
As an Insurance Leader, you will own that agenda. You will work with C-Suite executives to identify opportunities and lead work that neither a pure strategy firm nor, a pure systems integrator can deliver on its own. The role combines relationship leadership, commercial leadership, people leadership, and delivery excellence, with a strong emphasis on being an end-to-end transformation partner to our insurance clients. In addition, you will sit on the North America Financial Services leadership team and have a direct say in where we invest.
Invent combines strategy, data science, design and technology, and sits inside a global group with deep engineering, cloud, data and AI capability.
What you will do
Grow the Insurance business
- Own the account agenda. Set strategy and investment priorities for our priority Insurance accounts and grow them from project work into long-term partnerships.
- Build executive relationships. Develop and deepen relationships across the C-Suite.
- Originate and win. Build and run a pipeline that meets your commercial target. Lead pursuits, RFPs and pitches, and draw in Capgemini colleagues and partners where they strengthen the bid.
- Take the Capgemini Invent offer to market. Make full use of Capgemini Invent’s Insurance offerings, tools and assets, and connect them with the wider Capgemini ecosystem so clients see one team.
Lead delivery that lands
- Sponsor the biggest programmes. Stay accountable for large, multi-disciplinary and multi-vendor programmes: quality, risk, commercials and, above all, value realised for the client.
- Be the senior voice. Advise client leadership on trade-offs, sequencing and risk, including the calls that are uncomfortable to make.
Build the practice
- Develop leaders. Recruit, coach and promote the next generation of Insurance leaders, and build diverse, high-performing teams.
- Create what the market remembers. Publish points of view, build repeatable assets and shape propositions that make Capgemini Invent the obvious choice for Insurance transformation.
The Work you will lead
Your clients are large Insurers. No matter the engagement, your work will have meaningful impact on financial institutions and their customers. You may lead or sponsor initiatives such as:
- AI and intelligent operations: applying generative and agentic AI to servicing, operations, risk and software delivery, taken from pilot to scale with the controls regulators expect.
- Platform modernisation: including vendor and systems-integrator oversight.
- Operating model and cost transformation: enterprise-wide redesign, and operational efficiency programmes.
- Customer and digital transformation: experience, channels and data-led growth.
- Risk, regulatory and financial integrity: compliance, controls and regulatory-driven change.
Beyond client
In this role, you will also contribute to:
- Business development: Proposals, pursuits, RFPs, client pitches, and industry events.
- Practice building: Recruitment, talent development, offering design, and internal communities of practice.
- Thought leadership: Industry points of view, whitepapers, and innovation initiatives.
- Learning & development: Continuous growth through training, certifications, and leadership development.

- A track record at a recognised consultancy of leading a relationship with a large Financial Services client and originating, selling and delivering large-scale transformation.
- Existing relationships with senior executives at major Insurers operating in the US.
- Experience overseeing multi-workstream, multi-vendor programmes.
- Success in complex, matrixed organisations, bringing peers with you to sell and deliver together.
- Executive presence and the credibility to hold peer-level conversations at every level of a client organisation.
Distinguishing
- A market-recognised point of view on Insurance transformation, including AI, and a record of publishing or speaking on it.
- Depth across various lines of business.
- Experience of Agile and DevOps delivery models.
How you lead
