Role: Technical Project Manager 

Location: NYC, NY 

Duration: fulltime 

 

Job Summary

You will partner closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams-both onshore and offshore-to deliver a scalable and secure data platform. For this role the ideal candidate must demonstrate strong expertise in integrated data processing and data relationships, with a clear understanding of both their technical underpinnings and their application within business contexts. This is a unique position that intertwines multiple disciplines of hands-on technical project manager along with business analyst with strong client-facing and presentation skills. They should also be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and would have held a similar role in an agency or corporate marketing organization. It is critical for the candidate to be a self-starter able to work independently, be comfortable with rapid change, and manage their tasks to meet deadlines.

It is imperative that you have a deep sense of curiosity about all components of the program(s) you engage with - beyond your specific tasks and role - for understanding, the ability to identify potential risks and cross-impacts.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Technical Project Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery and support of the data from client delivery through generating individual campaign lists
  • Own technical scope, delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk management for platform initiatives
  • Translate business and marketing requirements into clear technical deliverables and work plans
  • Translate technical requirements into clear and easily understood contexts for clients and internal stakeholders

 

 

Microsoft Tech Stack & AWS Expertise

  • Lead projects leveraging Microsoft Tech Stack specifically involving backend batch jobs and SQL Database interactions as well as AWS services such as EC2, S3,
  • CloudFront, Lambda, and monitoring/logging tools
  • Collaborate with Infra, Ops, and Security teams to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate delivery with onshore development teams, ensuring client deliverables are met
  • Work closely with PMO, QA, Operations, Infrastructure, Security, and Architecture teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as the primary technical liaison among senior leadership, project managers, vendors, and internal teams

 

Governance, Quality & Operations

  • Enforce SDLC processes, agile/waterfall delivery practices, and PMO governance standards
  • Assist with QA processes, testing cycles, defect management, and release readiness
  • Support production deployments, post-launch stabilization, and operational handovers

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in software or web application development
  • 3+ years of experience in a Technical Project Manager or Technical Delivery Lead role
  • Strong understanding of database development concepts, including:
  • Strong proficiency in data modeling principles

 

Database development

  • Experience maintaining large-scale, multi sourced customer data platforms in regulated or enterprise environments
  • Good understanding of digital marketing concepts
  • Proven experience with cloud-native architectures, preferably within the AWS ecosystem
  • Experience with Confluence to create/maintain technical documentation

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good understanding of RDBMS concepts
  • Experience with Project Management tools such as Adobe Workfront
  • Exposure to DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering practices

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $86129 - $127189

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
