Role Overview
The Testing Automation Engineer is responsible for guiding automation initiatives implementing scalable test automation solutions and ensuring high quality delivery across insurance systems and platforms The role requires strong technical depth in automation frameworks hands on leadership and solid domain knowledge in insurance processes such as policy administration underwriting claims and billing
Key Responsibilities
- Lead automation design development and maintenance activities across multiple insurance applications
- Build enhance and maintain automation frameworks for UI API mobile and integration testing
- Review automation scripts enforce coding standards and ensure optimal reusability and maintainability
- Partner closely with developers business analysts test managers and product owners to achieve complete test coverage
- Plan and estimate automation efforts monitor progress and report status and coverage metrics
- Integrate automation suites with CICD pipelines and enable continuous execution in Agile delivery models
- Troubleshoot automation failures analyze root causes and implement corrective measures
- Mentor junior automation engineers and contribute to capability building initiatives
- Ensure compliance with organizational quality practices security considerations and audit requirements
- Promote automation first mindset and drive continuous improvement within testing processes
- Strong hands on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java or Python
- Proficiency with TestNG JUnit or similar frameworks
- Good understanding of API automation using tools such as RestAssured or Postman scripting
- Experience building Page Object Model data driven hybrid or custom frameworks
- Expertise with CICD tools like Jenkins Azure DevOps or Git based pipelines
- Working knowledge of version control systems and branching strategies
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems
- Foundational understanding of insurance business processes across new business underwriting claims billing and servicing
- Familiarity with policy admin systems portals integration layers and downstream insurance platforms
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology user stories acceptance criteria and definition of done
- Ability to collaborate with onshore offshore and cross functional teams
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of BDD using Cucumber or SpecFlow
- Exposure to mobile test automation using Appium
- Experience with cloud based test execution environments
- Basic awareness of performance testing collaboration and tooling

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 88,837 to 108,569
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
