Senior Solutions Architect (Full Stack & Cloud) - Digital Platforms

Choosing Capgemini means choosing a company where you will be empowered to shape your career in the way you’d like, where you’ll be supported and inspired by a collaborative community of colleagues around the world, and where you’ll be able to reimagine what’s possible. Join us and help the world’s leading organizations unlock the value of technology and build a more sustainable, more inclusive world.

Required Skills & Experience:

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect with strong full stack engineering depth and cloud-native architecture experience to design and govern complex digital solutions across web applications, APIs, integrations, and enterprise platforms. This is a client-facing leadership role responsible for translating business goals into scalable architectures, guiding delivery teams, and driving technical decisions across multiple workstreams.

You will partner with product, engineering, security, and platform teams to define end-to-end solution blueprints (front-end, back-end, integration, data, and infrastructure), ensure quality and reliability, and communicate trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

  • Define solution architectures for complex, multi-application ecosystems (web, APIs, cloud services, integrations, data flows).
  • Produce architecture artifacts such as HLD/LLD, logical/physical diagrams, integration patterns, NFRs, and decision records.
  • Design scalable, secure, high-performance architectures using modern patterns: microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first, serverless (where appropriate).
  • Partner with engineering teams to establish standards for application structure, observability, error handling, resiliency, and performance.

Full Stack Technical Leadership

  • Provide architecture guidance for modern web stacks: React or Angular, Node.js and/or Java, REST APIs, messaging/eventing.
  • Guide teams on code quality, maintainability, reusability, and SDLC best practices.
  • Review designs and implementations; lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making.

Integration & Platform Engineering

  • Define integration approaches across SaaS, cloud, and on-prem systems using APIs, iPaaS/ESB patterns, messaging, and serverless integration.
  • Collaborate with security and platform teams on IAM and application security patterns (e.g., OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, Okta).
  • Support cloud adoption and modernization (AWS and/or Azure): landing zones, scaling, resilience, and governance.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders (engineering leadership, architects, product owners).
  • Communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs with clarity and confidence; create executive-ready summaries when needed.

Required Qualifications (Must-Have):

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building full stack web solutions (modern UI + APIs/services).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture on AWS and/or Azure (networking concepts, compute, storage, security/IAM, scalability).
  • Expertise with React or Angular and back-end development using Node.js and/or Java.
  • Strong integration experience: API design, service orchestration, messaging/eventing, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices (e.g., Git-based workflows, pipeline concepts, automated testing, release practices).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical conversations with senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
  • Exposure to MarTech / digital experience platforms (e.g., analytics, personalization, tag management, CMS) — platform-agnostic; no specific vendor required.
  • Architecture frameworks/certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe Architecture).
  • Experience with observability tooling (logs/metrics/tracing), SRE concepts, performance testing, and security scanning.
  • Experience writing SOW/LOE inputs, estimates, or solution proposals.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear, scalable architecture that delivery teams can execute.
  • Reduced ambiguity, improved quality, faster alignment across stakeholders.
  • Strong engineering outcomes (reliability, performance, security) supported by practical standards and patterns.
