About the Role
Capgemini is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a strategic Financial Services engagement. This role will be responsible for developing scalable data solutions, building and maintaining data pipelines, optimizing data processing workflows, and supporting enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SQL, ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms, with a proven track record of delivering scalable and reliable data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Build and optimize data integration solutions across multiple source systems
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and transformation logic
- Create and maintain logical and physical data models
- Perform data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities
- Support cloud-based data warehouse and analytics platforms
- Work with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, performance, and integration issues
- Document data flows, mappings, transformation rules, and technical specifications
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
- Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 6-10 years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong SQL development and query optimization skills
- Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT solutions
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise data pipelines
- Strong data modeling and data management experience
- Experience with AWS data platforms, including Aurora PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
- Experience supporting enterprise data warehouse environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within Financial Services environments
- Experience supporting BI and reporting solutions
- Tableau experience
- Data governance and data quality experience
- Exposure to cloud-based analytics platforms and modern data architectures

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary up to $118,000

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 100,000 to 118,000 / yearly

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
