Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Selenium + API Automation Lead to spearhead enterprise-level automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in JavaRestAssuredSelenium, and CI/CD integration, with a strong understanding of microservicesAPI security, and framework development from scratch. You will play a pivotal role in defining automation strategies, building scalable frameworks, and mentoring teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

API Automation

  • Architect and implement enterprise-grade API automation frameworks.
  • Define and execute API test strategies for microservices-based architectures.
  • Integrate API automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Conduct distributed API automation across multiple environments.
  • Perform API reliability, chaos engineering, and resilience testing.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-driven test automation solutions.
  • Establish governance models and best practices for API automation.
  • Drive test data management strategies for API testing.
  • Mentor teams on API testing and automation frameworks.

 

UI Automation

  • Architect and optimize scalable UI automation frameworks using Selenium.
  • Define and enforce test automation best practices and governance.
  • Enhance existing frameworks for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Drive shift-left testing by embedding automation into DevOps pipelines.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging tools and trends in UI automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align automation goals.
  • Guide and mentor automation engineers across experience levels.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Must have strong expertise in designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Must have excellent coding skills in Java and Selenium.
  • Must be able to write and implement robust solutions for complex problem statements.
  • Strong proficiency in Java with architecture-level design capabilities.
  • Expert-level experience with RestAssured and advanced API framework design.
  • Hands-on experience with API Gateway and API Security Testing (OAuth, JWT, HMAC, OWASP Top 10).
  • Proven experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to design self-healing, scalable API test frameworks.
  • Expertise in Selenium WebDriver, BDD, and TestNG frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based automation execution and distributed testing.
  • Experience in code reviews, debugging, and refactoring automation scripts.
  • Strong skills in cross-browser testing, parallel execution, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Exposure to AI/ML-based test automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized test environments.
  • Experience with performance testing tools and techniques.

Salary Transparency

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $90000 - $110000/yearly.  
 
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
