Role Overview

We are seeking a Segment CDP Platform Consultant & Architect to lead the design, governance, and day-to-day operation of an enterprise Customer Data Platform (CDP) implementation. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, owning CDP architecture, identity resolution, event instrumentation standards, audience activation, and data governance.

The ideal candidate has deep, practical experience operating CDPs (Segment, Tealium, mParticle, or similar) in production environments and can partner closely with engineering, marketing, analytics, and privacy stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

CDP Architecture & Data Modeling

  • Design and maintain a canonical CDP data model
  • Define and manage identity resolution strategies (profiles, ID stitching, merge rules)
  • Establish event naming conventions, schemas, and property standards
  • Define data dictionaries and governance standards

Platform Implementation & Operations

  • Configure and manage CDP sources, destinations, and integrations
  • Implement and enforce tracking plans and schema validation
  • Build, manage, and optimize audiences, traits, and activation workflows
  • Monitor platform health, data quality, and operational SLAs
  • Own incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
  • Manage platform usage and cost optimization

Data Governance, Privacy & Security

  • Operationalize consent management and privacy-by-design principles
  • Implement role-based access controls and audit-ready governance guardrails
  • Ensure compliant handling of PII and regulated data

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Partner with engineering teams on client-side and server-side instrumentation
  • Support offshore or distributed delivery teams as needed
  • Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and enablement materials
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to marketing, analytics, and product teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in MarTech, data platforms, or digital analytics
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with a CDP such as Twilio Segment, Tealium, or mParticle
  • Strong experience with event tracking, schemas, and tracking plans
  • Solid understanding of identity resolution and profile unification concepts
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, JSON, and REST APIs
  • Experience with server-side tracking and modern instrumentation patterns
  • Proven experience with data quality monitoring and platform operations
  • Strong understanding of privacy, consent management, and regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with warehouse-native CDP patterns and Reverse ETL tools
  • Familiarity with analytics and activation platforms (email, paid media, personalization)
  • Experience working in regulated industries
  • CI/CD practices for tracking plans or data pipelines
  • Experience coordinating with offshore or nearshore delivery teams

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent practical experience

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $150,000 - $170,000/ yearly

The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
