Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Product Owner with deep expertise in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain to lead the product strategy and execution for Agency Lifecycle Management. This role will be pivotal in driving digital transformation, enhancing agency onboarding, credentialing, hierarchy management, compensation, and compliance tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for Agency Lifecycle Management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements.
- Translate requirements into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Maintain and groom the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.
- Lead sprint planning, reviews, and backlog refinement sessions.
- Ensure timely delivery of features that enhance agency operations and compliance.
- Advocate for intuitive, value-driven solutions that improve customer and agency experience.
- Monitor product performance and adoption using data-driven insights.
- Partner with UX/UI designers to develop personas and user journeys.
- Prioritize defect resolution and drive continuous product improvement.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong domain expertise in P&C Insurance, especially Agency Lifecycle Management.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, and product roadmap platforms.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance aspects of agency management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with 2+ years in a Product Owner role.
- Experience in digital transformation initiatives within insurance distribution.
- Knowledge of agent onboarding platforms, CRM systems, and compensation management tools.
- Agile certifications such as CSPO, SAFe POPM are a plus.
