About the Job You’re Considering

As AI reshapes how organizations operate, compete, and create value, we are evolving our consulting model to be AI-enabled by design, augmenting human judgment with analytics, automation, and generative AI. We are looking for consultants who combine strong problem-solving and commercial acumen with curiosity around how data and AI can transform decision-making.

Within Capgemini Invent’s Life Sciences industry team, we help pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare organizations transform how they bring products to market and engage patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders. Our work spans commercial and digital transformation, product launch and lifecycle management, brand growth, patient services, and patient experience.

This role focuses specifically on Commercial & Business Insights, helping Life Sciences organizations turn complex commercial and healthcare data into actionable insights, better decisions, and more personalized stakeholder engagement.

Your Role

As a Managing Consultant – Life Sciences Commercial & Business Insights, you will lead workstreams and project teams addressing complex commercial strategy, analytics, and business insights challenges for Life Sciences clients.

You will bring together data, analytics, commercial expertise, and consulting problem-solving to translate information into clear hypotheses, recommendations, and actions. You will work with client stakeholders as well as multidisciplinary teams of consultants, data scientists, technologists, analysts, and implementation specialists. The role will also contribute to business development, thought leadership, and the growth and development of our Life Sciences team. These responsibilities build directly on Capgemini Invent's existing Business Insights and Managing Consultant role expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Life Sciences commercial analytics and business insights workstreams, translating complex quantitative and qualitative information into clear insights, recommendations, and business actions.

  • Advise clients across commercial functions including Field Sales, Sales Operations, Brand Marketing, Omnichannel, Market Access, Patient Services, and Brand Forecasting, using analytics to support strategic and operational decision-making.

  • Structure complex business problems, develop and test hypotheses, conduct and guide analyses, and create compelling executive-level narratives and recommendations.

  • Work with industry datasets including claims, clinical, patient-level, specialty channel, field sales, and other commercial data, including sources such as IQVIA and Symphony.

  • Help clients shape and deliver AI-enabled commercial and CRM strategies, including applications such as next-best-action, targeting, predictive analytics, personalization, and customer analytics to support HCP and patient acquisition, engagement, and retention.

  • Lead blended teams of consultants, analysts, data scientists, technologists, and implementation specialists, managing delivery against scope, quality, schedule, and client expectations.

  • Design and facilitate client meetings and workshops, communicate findings to senior stakeholders, and develop high-quality executive presentations and deliverables.

  • Support business development through proposal development, RFI/RFP responses, solution shaping, client presentations, and identification of project extension and account-expansion opportunities.

  • Contribute to thought leadership and new offerings across Commercial Analytics, AI/Data Science, Digital Customer Analytics, CRM, and Business Insights.

  • Mentor and coach junior consultants, contributing to recruiting, training, knowledge sharing, and capability development across the Life Sciences team.

Your Skills + Experience

You combine Life Sciences commercial knowledge, analytics expertise, and strong management consulting skills. You are comfortable working with complex datasets while focusing on what the analysis means for the business and translating findings into recommendations that senior stakeholders can act on.

You also understand how AI and GenAI are changing commercial analytics and customer engagement and can help clients identify practical opportunities to apply these capabilities responsibly.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant consulting and/or industry experience, with substantial experience in analytics, commercial strategy, or business insights within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or broader Life Sciences industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Life Sciences commercial functions such as Field Sales, Sales Operations, Brand Marketing, Omnichannel, Market Access, Patient Services, and/or Brand Forecasting.
  • Experience using healthcare and commercial datasets such as claims, clinical, specialty channel, patient-level, sales, and CRM data, including industry sources such as IQVIA or Symphony.
  • Proven ability to structure complex problems, develop and test hypotheses, perform or guide exploratory analysis, and translate data into actionable commercial insights.
  • Experience leading workstreams and small project teams within a consulting or client environment.
  • Strong core consulting skills, including workshop facilitation, storyboarding, executive deck development, client interviewing, issue analysis, process design, and change management.
  • Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Understanding of AI-driven analytics, CRM, predictive modeling, and emerging AI/agentic solutions, with the ability to connect these capabilities to meaningful commercial business outcomes.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, quantitative problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience contributing to proposals, RFP/RFI responses, solution development, and client growth opportunities.
  • Undergraduate degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience designing or delivering AI/GenAI-enabled commercial analytics, customer engagement, next-best-action, targeting, personalization, forecasting, or CRM solutions.
  • Experience working at the intersection of commercial strategy, data science, analytics, and technology.
  • Hands-on exposure to exploratory data analysis and the ability to work effectively with data scientists and analytics specialists.
  • Experience across multiple stages of the Life Sciences commercial lifecycle, such as launch, brand growth, lifecycle management, patient engagement, and omnichannel transformation.
