Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who can bridge the gap between technology and business by working closely with clients to design, implement, and deploy customized software and AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with excellent client-facing and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with clients to understand business challenges and technical requirements.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Build integrations between enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Work alongside Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Business teams to deliver solutions.
- Develop proof of concepts (POCs), prototypes, and production-ready applications.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues in customer environments.
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture and implementation plans.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Support client onboarding, adoption, and solution deployment activities.
- Mentor customers and internal teams on best practices and product capabilities.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong programming experience in Python, Java, C++, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building and deploying enterprise applications
- Expertise with REST APIs, Microservices, and System Integration
- Strong SQL and database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of software architecture and distributed systems
- Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies
Client-Facing Skills
- Experience gathering business and technical requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving and consulting mindset
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or LLMs
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, or Data Engineering platforms
- Exposure to MLOps and AI solution deployment
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, or Insurance domains
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Consulting, or Customer-Facing Technical roles.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale client solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Fortune 500 clients.
- Exposure to GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Vertex AI.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong presentation and solution architecture skills.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 140,000 - 250,000
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
