Finance Data Transformation Lead

Description

We are starting discovery for a finance data modernization at a leading global PC reinsurer. The hub will consolidate finance actuarial claims policy and reinsurance data from multiple source systems into a governed financial data layer that feeds management and regulatory reporting FPA and in time conversational analytics. We are looking for a functional lead who speaks both finance and data.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery workshops with Finance Actuarial Reinsurance FPA and IT stakeholders to document the ASIS reporting and data landscape.
  • Inventory source systems GLERP EPM policy admin claims actuarial reserving ceded reinsurance investments and assess data availability, grain quality and ownership.
  • Build the KPI and report inventory business definitions calculation logic dimensions named business owners and signoff.
  • Define critical data elements and map KPIs to source and target fields across a medallion architecture of Bronze Silver Gold Semantic.
  • Shape the TOBE architecture with data architects financial data layer, semantic layer reporting and self-service layer.
  • Write the BRD functional specifications, assumptions and risks log and the phased roadmap.
  • Act as a functional product owner for the Gold and Semantic layers as the engagement moves into build, including UAT and self-service testing with business users.
  • Contribute to estimates of SOW inputs and follow-on proposals.

Required

  • 3-7 years in finance transformation or finance data or FPA controllership within insurance or reinsurance in consulting or industry.
  • Professional qualification CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA or MBA Finance or equivalent depth
  • Working fluency in PC reinsurance finance GWPNWP earned premium UPR paid case IBNR and incurred losses ALAEULAE CAT vs non-CAT commissions and brokerage DAC loss expense combined ratios ceded reinsurance technical result
  • Knowledge of at least one insurance reporting basis US GAAP US STATNAIC IFRS 17 or Solvency II and the bridges between them
  • Handson experience with data modeling concepts star schemas conformed dimensions medallion Lakehouse layers semantic models source-to-target mapping
  • SQL proficiency sufficient to profile data and validate KPI logic independently
  • Proven ability to run stakeholder workshops and produce clientready BRDs KPI catalogs and architecture narratives

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $105,000 - 115,000

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
