Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong C++/Pyspark Developer with Mortgage Risk to support the implementation, optimization, and integration of mortgage risk models. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in C++, Python, and data engineering, along with a strong understanding of risk and simulation modeling.
In this role, you will work closely with the Risk Modelling Team to translate complex mortgage risk models into production-ready systems, build supporting tools and GUIs, and ensure seamless model execution across multiple environments including QA, UAT, and Production.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on C++ development experience with strong proficiency in modern C++ standards.
- Strong experience with Python and data processing frameworks (e.g., PySpark).
- Robust database expertise—SQL and platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
- Experience with grid computing technologies for large-scale model runs.
- Solid background in integration, software development, and/or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and how data moves across upstream and downstream systems.
- Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including interaction with senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilities.
- Experience with SDLC processes and tools such as Jira, HP Quality Center, etc.
- Familiarity with both waterfall and agile development methodologies.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as within teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Desired Skills
- Prior experience in the financial services industry, particularly in Market Risk or related risk modeling areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement mortgage risk models developed in Python into C++ for scalable and efficient production usage.
- Support model execution and monitoring across QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Collaborate with the Risk Modelling Team to fully understand mathematical and functional aspects of the models.
- Design and develop user interfaces and tools around the models to streamline usability and analysis.
- Ensure smooth integration of risk model components within broader system architecture and data pipelines.
- Work closely with upstream and downstream teams to ensure proper data flow and system interoperability.
- Participate in SDLC activities, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance across computing environments.
- Work in both independent and collaborative team settings to ensure timely and high-quality deliveries.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 90000-110000

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
