Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Finance and Accounting domains to support strategic finance transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of accounting processes, financial controls, and reporting, combined with proven business analysis capabilities and experience delivering large-scale finance change programs. This role requires close collaboration with Finance, Technology, Operations, and Risk stakeholders to drive process improvements, system implementations, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
- Analyze and document accounting processes including GL, sub-ledgers, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Support Product Control and Financial Control functions.
- Evaluate and strengthen accounting controls and governance frameworks.
Business Analysis
- Lead requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder discussions.
- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, and process maps.
- Perform current-state/future-state analysis and maintain requirement traceability.
Transformation & Delivery
- Support finance transformation programs, ledger migrations, and system implementations.
- Assist with cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-implementation support.
- Work within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Finance, Technology, Operations, and Risk stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and project sponsors.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of Business Analysis experience within Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, or Corporate Finance environments.
- Strong understanding of:
- Product Control and Financial Control functions
- General Ledger and Sub-ledger architectures
- Financial reporting and accounting controls
- Reconciliation processes
- Finance operating models
- Demonstrated experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, process maps, and functional specifications.
- Hands-on experience supporting UAT, SIT, defect management, and production go-live activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent.
- Experience with Finance Transformation, ERP implementations, or ledger migration programs.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting and financial control frameworks.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Exposure to large-scale banking or capital markets finance platforms.
