Senior Data Engineer

Your Role

Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end ETL data pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple source systems to target schemas and data warehouses.
Perform source‑to‑target mapping analysis and validation, ensuring alignment with business rules and data models.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for:Data profilingData integrity checksSource‑to‑target reconciliationReporting and analyticsValidate data quality, completeness, accuracy, and consistency across upstream and downstream systems.
Perform detailed data analysis and root‑cause investigation to identify data issues and discrepancies.
Accurately log, track, and report defects, including clear root‑cause observations, and follow up with development and testing teams until closure.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, business analysts, QA teams, and project managers to understand business requirements, KPIs, and data transformation logic.
Implement data validation, cleansing, and business rule logic within ETL processes to meet functional and compliance requirements.
Support unit testing, system testing, and UAT phases by providing validated data outputs, test evidence, and reconciliation reports.
Optimize SSIS packages for performance, reliability, error handling, logging, and restartability.
Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to ETL best practices, performance standards, and governance guidelines.
Assist with deployment activities across environments and provide post‑deployment production support by troubleshooting ETL failures and data quality issues.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including ETL designs, mapping documents, data flow logic, and operational runbooks.

your Profile

4+ years of hands‑on experience in SQL Server and SSIS development.
Strong proficiency in T‑SQL, including performance tuning and query optimization.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, SCDs, incremental loads).
Experience with data profiling, reconciliation, and data quality validation.
Hands‑on experience handling large data volumes and complex ETL transformations.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to data accuracy and detail.
Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
