Your Role
As a Release and Deployment Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, governing, and overseeing the successful release and deployment of applications, infrastructure changes, and technology solutions into production environments. You will ensure releases are delivered efficiently, with minimal business disruption, while maintaining compliance with organizational standards, change governance requirements, and IT service management best practices across enterprise environments.
- Provide end-to-end ownership and governance of the Release and Deployment Management process, ensuring controlled and successful production implementations.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage release activities across multiple applications, platforms, services, and infrastructure environments.
- Develop and maintain enterprise release calendars, deployment schedules, and release roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
- Ensure releases are appropriately tested, approved, documented, and deployed in accordance with established governance and change management processes.
- Conduct release readiness assessments and production deployment reviews prior to implementation.
- Manage dependencies and coordinate activities across projects, development teams, infrastructure, security, testing, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Oversee deployment planning, execution, validation, rollback strategies, and contingency procedures to minimize operational risk.
- Coordinate deployment windows, implementation schedules, and production cutover activities across global environments.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate release and deployment risks while proactively resolving issues impacting release execution.
- Develop integrated release plans covering development, testing, deployment, communications, support readiness, and post-release activities.
- Facilitate release planning meetings, release readiness reviews, and stakeholder governance forums.
- Ensure deployment environments are available, validated, and fully prepared for release activities.
Your Profile
- 6+ years of experience in Release Management, Deployment Management, IT Operations, Service Management, Change Management, or Service Delivery functions.
- Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise Release and Deployment Management processes, governance, and production implementation activities.
- Proven experience managing enterprise application, infrastructure, and technology releases within complex business environments.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including Development, Infrastructure, Security, Testing, Operations, Service Delivery, and Business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of ITIL Release & Deployment Management, Service Transition, and Change Enablement practices.
- Experience managing release schedules, deployment windows, release calendars, and production implementation roadmaps.
- Experience working with ITSM and release management platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Azure DevOps, BMC Remedy, or similar enterprise tools.
- Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent tools.
- Strong analytical, risk management, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage deployment risks, release conflicts, dependencies, and critical production issues effectively.
- Experience supporting cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments.
