Your Role

  • Manage and administer cloud-hosted database environments.
  • Perform database installation; configuration; maintenance; and health monitoring.
  • Execute backup; recovery; and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance; availability; and capacity.
  • Plan and implement database patching; upgrades; and version migrations.
  • Investigate and resolve database-related incidents; alerts; and service interruptions.
  • Support security compliance activities; including user access management and vulnerability remediation.
  • Collaborate with CloudOps; SysOps; Application Support; and Engineering teams on database-related initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation; SOPs; and automation scripts.

Your Profile

  • The role focuses on ensuring high availability; performance; security; and reliability of database environments running on managed cloud services.
  • The individual will perform database administration activities including monitoring; backup and recovery; performance optimization; patch management; upgrades; and incident resolution while collaborating with cloud; infrastructure; application; and support teams to deliver resilient database services.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in relational database technologies and cloud-native database services; with hands-on experience in troubleshooting production issues; implementing performance improvements; and supporting business-critical applications in a 24x7 operational environment when required.
