Mainframe Developer IMS DB to SQL

Your Role

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, IMS DB, and related technologies.
  • Analyze existing IMS DB data structures and support migration or conversion to SQL-based databases.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and technical teams to deliver modernization initiatives.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and production support for migrated applications.
  • Troubleshoot application and database issues while ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity.

Your Profile

  • Hands-on experience in Mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, IMS DB, and batch processing.
  • Experience working on IMS DB to SQL migration, conversion, or database modernization projects.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL query development.
  • Ability to analyze legacy systems, interpret technical specifications, and deliver quality solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
