GE Proficy MES Implementation

 Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced GE Proficy MES Consultant with expertise in MES implementation, integration, and support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with GE Proficy Plant Applications, shop-floor integrations, SCADA systems, and manufacturing operations. The role involves solution design, development, implementation, change management, and rollout activities across manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

•     Implement, configure, and support GE Proficy MES (Plant Applications) solutions.

•     Perform ERP-Proficy integration, shop-floor system integration, and SCADA connectivity.

•     Manage change requests, defect tracking, solution development, testing, deployment, and rollout activities.

•     Work closely with business stakeholders, production teams, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

•     Support MES applications including:

o     GE Proficy Plant Applications

o     Production Execution

o     GE Historian

o     Industrial Gateway Server (IGS)

o     GE iFIX

•     Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, and data integrations.

•     Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.

•     Ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality processes.

•     Create technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

•     Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements.

Required Skills

•     Experience in ERP-Proficy Integration, Proficy-Shop Floor Integration, and SCADA systems.

•     Strong understanding of MES concepts and manufacturing processes.

•     Hands-on experience with:

o     GE Proficy Plant Applications

o     GE Historian

o     IGS (Industrial Gateway Server)

o     GE iFIX

•     Database: Microsoft SQL Server

•     Operating Systems: Windows Server

•     Web Server: IIS 7.0 and above

•     Tools & Technologies: GitHub, Jenkins, Panaya, qTest, Power BI

•     Programming: Python, VBA, HTML, .NET

•     Experience in Change Control, Tracking Requests, Solution Development, Implementation, and Rollout.

•     Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

•     Ability to independently own assigned tasks and deliver within timelines.

Preferred Skills

•     Understanding of ISA-95 manufacturing standards.

•     Experience in FMCG and Retail domains.

•     Exposure to manufacturing digital transformation initiatives.

•     Knowledge of reporting and dashboarding tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile

•     4-6 years of overall IT/Manufacturing Systems experience.

•     Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

•     Ability to work in a global support and implementation environment.

•     Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
