Job Description

  • Monitor Tableau Server infrastructure and resource utilization (processor, memory, disk) or Tableau Bridge pool availability and activity.
  • Monitor Tableau Cloud application-level metrics, measure content metrics in Stage, UAT and Production by enabling Admin Insights
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation and monitoring tasks.
  • Analyze performance metrics and create dashboards to visualize data health.
  • Monitor client software installation including versions and database drivers, including Tableau Desktop, Tableau Reader, and Tableau Bridge.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to troubleshoot and resolve data extract issues.
  • Implement best practices for production monitoring, including alerting and incident management.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on production incidents and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Document processes, workflows, and troubleshooting guides for internal use.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Tableau CMT, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud and Python.
  • Knowledge of Tableau Pulse, Tableau Agent, Snowflake, SQL, and Airflow is desirable.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data quality and performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Eager to learn and share knowledge.

Primary Skill

  • Proven experience with Tableau CMT, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud and Python
     

Secondary Skill

  • Knowledge of Tableau Pulse, Tableau Agent, Snowflake, SQL, and Airflow is desirable.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
