Power BI Developer

Your Role

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Implement data modeling techniques including star and snowflake schemas.
• Optimize performance of Power BI reports using best practices (e.g., using measures over calculated columns, import mode over direct query).
• Apply Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage user access based on business requirements.
• Configure and manage Power BI Gateway for secure data refresh from on-premise sources.
• Work with various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, CSV, and SSIS.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.

Your Profile

• Strong understanding of Power BI relationships, cardinality, and data modeling.
• Experience with DAX functions including RANKX, calculated columns, and measures.
• Knowledge of incremental data refresh and dynamic filtering using parameters.
• Familiarity with disconnected tables and bridge tables for handling complex relationships.
• Exposure to workspace governance and deployment pipelines.
• Basic understanding of Power BI paginated reports and their use cases.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to cloud technologies like Snowflake.
