Position Summary

The Architecture Governance Analyst plays a critical role in supporting architectural governance, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and standards. This position focuses on facilitating governance activities, conducting reviews, and enhancing governance processes. Working closely with platform and fleet architects and other stakeholders, the analyst ensures compliance, documents key decisions, and promotes collaboration to achieve organizational objectives. The role combines leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of data analysis projects and the development of a high-performing data analyst team. They play a critical role in leveraging data to drive business growth, optimize processes, and enable informed decision-making across the organization.

Required

  • 5 years +
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools like Jive, SharePoint, or Confluence.
  • Basic understanding of enterprise architecture principles and standards (e.g., TOGAF or similar).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a globally dispersed team.
  • Experience in supporting governance or architecture-related activities.
  • Familiarity with compliance tracking and risk reporting processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Governance Activities
  • Governance Coordination:
    Assist in planning and organizing governance activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and following up on action items.
    Participate in governance forums, supporting discussions and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Architecture Reviews:
    Support architecture reviews to assess adherence to policies, procedures, and standards.
    Document review findings and provide input on recommendations for improvement.
    Ensure Alignment with Policies and Standards
  • Policy Support:
    Collaborate with team members and architects to align architectural practices with organizational policies and standards.
    Provide resources and guidance to ensure teams meet governance requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Work with stakeholders to ensure architectural practices remain consistent and aligned with governance objectives. 
  • Assist with Maturity Assessments
  • Assessment Support:
    Contribute to preparing and executing architectural maturity assessments to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
    Analyze assessment results and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Implementation Assistance:
    Help implement changes and track progress based on assessment findings.
  • Documentation and Communication
  • Governance Documentation:
    Record meeting minutes, decisions, and outcomes from governance activities and architecture reviews.
    Maintain templates, reports, and other governance materials, ensuring accessibility and organization.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Publish updates and outcomes from governance activities, ensuring clarity and consistency in communications and reporting.
    Monitor Progress and Compliance
  • Tracking and Reporting:
    Monitor adherence to governance processes and policies.
    Identify and report risks or non-compliance issues, collaborating with team members to address them.
  • Progress Monitoring:
    Track improvements in compliance and architectural maturity over time.
    Maintain and publish architecture metrics that drive maturity.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement
  • Feedback and Process Enhancement:
    Gather stakeholder feedback to refine governance practices and improve efficiency.
    Research industry trends and share insights to support continuous improvement.
