YOUR ROLE
As a Palantir Senior Data Engineer at Capgemini, you will be responsible for translating client business needs into scalable, high‑quality data solutions on the Palantir platform. You will design and manage data pipelines, ontologies, and data models, supporting users in the effective adoption of Palantir tools while ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and analytical value. The role also involves contributing to project leadership activities, providing strategic advice to clients, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end, data‑driven solutions.
In this role, you will be a key player in the following activities:
- User Needs & Requirements: Engage with end users to understand data needs and translate complex business problems into technical Palantir specifications;
- Data Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines on Palantir (e.g. Foundry), leveraging Spark‑based transforms and Pipeline Builder;
- Data Quality & Governance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data through robust validation and quality controls;
- Data Modeling & Ontologies: Design and implement data models and ontologies to enable efficient analysis and insight generation;
- Platform Enablement & Adoption: Support and train users on Palantir tools, promoting best practices in analysis and visualization;
- Project, Client & Team Leadership: Lead project deliverables, advise clients strategically, manage stakeholder relationships, mentor junior consultants, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex ETL pipelines, including integration with the Palantir platform and diverse data sources (databases, APIs, streaming);
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality best practices;
- Proficiency in data engineering technologies and languages such as Python, SQL, Spark; experience with cloud and big data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks) is a plus;
- Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are considered a plus;
- Proactive mindset and motivation to grow within a dynamic, collaborative, and close‑knit team.
Note: Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data consulting, or software development, with at least 6-month experience on Palantir Foundry or Palantir Gotham. Master's degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), engineering, or computer science preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Palantir certifications, PMP, Agile/Scrum) are advantageous.
Location: Turin or Milan, Italy (with flexibility for hybrid work and client travel)
