Test Analyst

Let's Talk about the role

The Functional Tester will support various Program Waves, validating HR, ERP, and Payroll applications and their associated integrations as part of a large‑scale data centre lift‑and‑shift migration. The role focuses on ensuring business‑critical processes, payroll accuracy, and integrations operate unchanged post‑migration, with no functional redesign or optimisation.

Let's talk about the responsibilities

• Execute functional, system, and integration testing for HR, ERP, and Payroll systems following lift‑and‑shift migration.
• Validate end‑to‑end business processes including hire‑to‑retire, payroll processing, time and attendance, financial postings, and reporting.
• Test integrations between HR/Payroll systems and downstream platforms (e.g. finance, identity, reporting, data interfaces).
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), regression testing, and payroll parallel runs where required.
• Verify data integrity, calculations, balances, and statutory outputs remain consistent pre‑ and post‑migration.
• Log, track, and support resolution of defects in collaboration with application, integration, and infrastructure teams.
• Support cutover validation, payroll cycle readiness, and go‑live assurance activities.
• Contribute to test evidence, defect metrics, and readiness reporting for regulated environments.

Let's talk about your skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Functional Tester on HR, ERP and/or Payroll systems, ideally in migration or infrastructure‑led programs.
• Strong understanding of lift‑and‑shift testing principles (minimal change, business continuity focus).
• Hands‑on experience testing payroll cycles, HR processes, and ERP financial impacts.
• Experience with integration testing, including interfaces, batch jobs, and data feeds.
• Familiarity with SIT, regression testing, and cutover support.
• Strong attention to detail, especially around data accuracy and payroll calculations.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience with enterprise HR/ERP platforms (e.g. Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Experience in regulated or compliance‑driven environments.
• Exposure to test management tools such as Azure DevOps, qTest, or equivalent.
