Your Role
As the Splunk Monitoring Specialist, you will ensure proactive monitoring of IT infrastructure and applications using Splunk ITSI. The role includes validating automated tickets, performing manual interventions, analyzing alerts, maintaining SLA compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor service health and KPIs in Splunk ITSI - proactively detect infrastructure and application issues.
- Respond to alerts and incidents within SLA - perform triage and correlation analysis in ITSI.
- Validate and manage ServiceNow tickets - create manual tickets when auto-creation fails.
- Analyze alerts in ITSI - identify false positives and tune KPIs and thresholds.
- Perform daily health checks - provide alert summaries, SLA compliance, and trend reports.
- Update monitoring configurations, correlation searches, and maintain change logs.
- Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, dashboards, and response manuals for ITSI and ServiceNow.
- Recommend improvements for alert tuning, automation, and continuous service optimization.
Your Experience
- Strong expertise in Splunk ITSI for service health monitoring, KPI creation, and alert correlation.
- Advanced ServiceNow Reporting & Performance Analytics skills, including dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, SRM) and SIAM framework.
- Hands-on experience with SLM process, SLA calculations, and ServiceNow ticket creation with alert analysis.
- Proven problem-solving ability
- Self-managing and a self-starter
- Uses initiative and able to address any issues
Preferred Certifications:
- Splunk Core Certified Power User
- Splunk ITSI Certified
- ITIL Foundation
