Job Description
You as a SharePoint Consultant, you are responsible for design, develop, and implement modern digital workplace solutions leveraging the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role will play a key part in shaping enterprise collaboration platforms by delivering scalable SharePoint and Power Platform solutions, automating business processes, and leading migration initiatives from legacy systems to SharePoint Online.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders
- Translate business needs into scalable technical designs using SharePoint Online and Power Platform
- Design enterprise-grade solutions aligned with governance and best practices
Solution Development & Delivery
- Develop and deploy applications using Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Build custom SharePoint solutions, workflows, forms, and integrations
- Deliver end-to-end solutions including design, development, testing, and deployment
Power Platform Configuration & Automation
- Configure and customise Power Platform environments (data sources, environments, security, and role-based access)
- Automate business processes using Power Automate to improve operational efficiency
- Develop low-code/no-code applications using Power Apps
SharePoint Migration
- Plan, design, and execute SharePoint migration strategies
- Migrate content from legacy systems, including older SharePoint versions, to SharePoint Online
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and minimal business disruption during migration
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams
- Present technical solutions and concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Provide best practices guidance on Microsoft 365 adoption and usage
Information Architecture
- Design and implement enterprise information architecture, taxonomy, and governance frameworks
- Ensure content is structured for usability, scalability, and compliance
Job Description - Grade Specific
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in SharePoint development and consulting
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- SharePoint Online (Modern Experience)
- Microsoft Teams, Viva, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Proven track record in SharePoint migration projects, especially on-premises to SharePoint Online
- Experience in business process automation using Power Platform tools
- Solid understanding of enterprise information architecture design and governance
- Experience configuring Power Platform environments, including:
- Data connectors
- Security models and roles
- Environment strategies
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Viva modules
- Knowledge of Azure services and integrations
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, and security frameworks in Microsoft 365
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform, SharePoint, or M365) are highly regarded
