SAP Security Lead

Your Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Security Lead to join a major transformation program. This role is ideal for a seasoned SAP Security professional who brings strong technical depth, proven leadership qualities, and the ability to shape end to end security strategies across complex SAP landscapes.
The successful candidate will lead security design, governance, and delivery activities across multiple SAP platforms, ensuring compliance, scalability, and operational excellence in line with enterprise and audit requirements.

SAP Security Architecture & Design
• Lead the design and implementation of SAP Security solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and integrated systems.
• Define role design frameworks, access models, and secure architectural patterns for application, database, and integration layers.
• Drive adoption of leading practices for Fiori Security, including catalog and group design, launchpad role architecture, and app-level authorisations.
GRC, Identity, and Access Management
• Oversee and guide the implementation of SAP GRC Access Controls (ARA, ARM, BRM, EAM).
• Provide expertise in SAP IAS/IPS, SAP IAG, and hybrid identity provisioning models.
• Ensure strong controls monitoring, SoD remediation, risk rule set maintenance, and audit readiness.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to governance, risk, and compliance policies across all security deliverables.
• Lead audit engagements, provide expert responses to control queries, and recommend improvements to risk posture.
• Champion security-by-design principles and support continuous improvement of security standards.
Leadership & Delivery
• Lead a team of SAP Security Analysts and Consultants, providing technical direction, mentoring, and quality oversight.
• Facilitate workshops with architects, business stakeholders, audit teams, and technical SMEs.
• Manage end-to-end delivery streams including design, build, testing, cutover, and hypercare activities.

Your Profile

• Demonstrated experience delivering SAP Security solutions in large transformation programs.
• Strong hands-on capability with:
o SAP GRC Access Controls
o SAP IAS/IPS
o SAP IAG
o SAP Fiori Security
• Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA security architecture, role design, and authorisation frameworks.
• Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
Desirable Qualifications
• SAP GRC Access Controls Certification (highly desirable).
• Experience with SAP BTP Security, Cloud Identity Services, and modern authentication mechanisms (SAML, OAuth, JWT).
• Prior experience in consulting or large system integrator environments.
