SAP Embedded Analytics Lead

Your role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Embedded Analytics Lead Consultant who can lead SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics design and delivery for an assigned client project within the Data & Analytics practice. You will own the operational analytics workstream, prioritising standard SAP reporting and delivering justified extensions that align with business processes, security requirements and clean-core principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead reporting fit-to-standard workshops with SAP functional consultants; demonstrate relevant standard analytical apps and capture business reporting gaps.
• Assess standard S/4HANA analytical content and recommend adoption, configuration or extension before proposing custom development.
• Design the embedded analytics solution using the S/4HANA virtual data model, ABAP CDS views, analytical queries and appropriate Fiori consumption patterns.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for custom analytical views, measures, associations, annotations and queries, using supported tools for the client edition.
• Coordinate analytical app enablement, launchpad content and authorisations with Fiori, development, Basis and security teams.
• Apply clean-core principles and released interfaces where available; distinguish supported extensibility options across S/4HANA deployment editions.
• Define when requirements should be served by Embedded Analytics and when cross-system, historical or strategic analytics should use BDC / Datasphere or SAC.
• Own estimates, technical reviews and team delivery; lead reconciliation, performance analysis, testing, deployment readiness and support handover.

Your profile

• 10+ years in SAP technical or analytics delivery, including at least 4 years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics experience.
• Experience leading embedded analytics design and implementation on at least two S/4HANA projects, including standard-content adoption and custom extensions.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP CDS, the virtual data model, analytical semantics, associations, annotations, analytical queries and performance considerations.
• Practical experience with relevant tools such as View Browser, Query Browser, Custom Analytical Queries and ABAP Development Tools, as supported by the client edition.
• Understanding of Fiori analytical applications, multidimensional reporting and role-based access; ability to work with specialists on app activation and security.
• Experience analysing transactional data in key SAP business domains and reconciling operational reports with functional process owners.
• Strong workshop facilitation, technical problem-solving, estimation and documentation skills, with experience guiding distributed development teams.

Desired skills:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud extensibility, CDS access controls, analytical list pages and integration with SAC or Datasphere.
• Relevant SAP development or analytics certification.

Remuneration for this role is structured in accordance with this award, with classification level and salary determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications. Full statutory entitlements, including the standard Superannuation Guarantee, apply.
