SAP Data Migration Lead
Your Profile
- Lead end‑to‑end Data Migration & integration activities into SAP systems, including extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, and loading of legacy data.
- Develop and validate data mapping rules between legacy systems and SAP target structures.
- Experience in SAP S4HANA transformation projects and in functional modules of Finance, Supply Chain & logistics, MM.
- Coordinate with business teams and IT teams and monitor data quality and resolve data discrepancies.
- Work with SAP tools such as LSMW, SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM), SAP Data Services, and SAP MDG workflows.
- Manage defect resolution, mock conversions, and cutover readiness for SAP deployments.
- Work with Business team for Data Assessment and Readiness of current data ecosystem.
- Apply and enforce SAP global data standards, naming conventions, and governance policies.
- Maintain and enhance SAP MDG governance models, workflows, validation rules, and derivations.
- Execute SAP data quality checks using DQ tools.
- Monitor SAP master data KPIs such as completeness, duplicates, attribute compliance, and change cycle times.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
Your Role
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience in ETL development, data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading for large‑scale SAP programs.
- Strong capability in field‑level mapping, transforming data between legacy systems and SAP (ECC / S/4HANA), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Proficiency in SQL coding, including complex multi‑table joins, subqueries, inner/outer joins, data parsing, formatting, and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing end‑to‑end migration jobs in partnership with business analysts, solution architects, offshore teams, and functional SMEs.
- Excellent client-facing communication, documentation, and presentation skills—comfortable engaging with both business and technical audiences.
- SAP certifications in BODS or BusinessObjects preferred (advantageous for Capgemini certification pathways).
- Experience working within a global delivery model, coordinating with offshore teams, and delivering high‑quality outcomes in distributed project environments.
- Strong consulting mindset—problem solving, ownership, adaptability, and the ability to work in fast‑paced transformation programs.
