SAP CDS View Developer - Melbourne

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP CDS View Developer to support an SAP S/4HANA transformation program, with a strong focus on developing and extending analytical data models for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Embedded Analytics and SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting.The role will work closely with Finance, Group Reporting, SAC, Reporting & Analytics and S/4 functional teams to translate reporting requirements into scalable and reusable CDS-based analytical models.

• Design, develop and enhance ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) views in SAP S/4HANA to support analytical and reporting requirements.
• Develop CDS-based data models for consumption by SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), S/4HANA Embedded Analytics and Group Reporting.
• Build and extend basic/interface, composite and consumption CDS views following SAP's recommended Virtual Data Model (VDM) principles.
• Develop analytical CDS models, including cubes, dimensions and analytical queries, with appropriate annotations and associations.
• Support Finance and S/4HANA Group Reporting requirements by exposing the required financial, consolidation and master-data information through appropriate CDS models.
• Work with Group Reporting functional consultants to understand requirements across consolidation reporting, group financial statements, consolidation units, FS items and related reporting dimensions.
• Enable SAC reporting requirements through appropriate analytical queries and consumption models while considering live connectivity and other agreed integration patterns.
• Analyse underlying S/4HANA tables, standard CDS views and data relationships to identify the appropriate source for reporting requirements.
• Perform performance optimisation and troubleshooting of CDS views and analytical queries.
• Support data reconciliation between CDS outputs, S/4HANA transactional data, Group Reporting and SAC reports.

Experience Required:

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP CDS View Development and SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Embedded Analytics, and Group Reporting.
• Knowledge of analytical modelling, data integration, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of Finance and reporting data models.
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Remuneration for this role is structured in accordance with this award, with classification level and salary determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
