SAP Basis Consultant

Your role

The SAP BASIS Admin professional will work closely with Service Delivery Managers, business users, and technical team members to provide technical expertise and support for Capgemini’s multiyear SAP Operational projects. The Professional must be able lead and support the SAP system operations including supporting system migrations to S/4 HANA and support the business initiatives to introduce new functionality to the customer SAP landscape. The candidate must have a sound knowledge of S/4HANA, IDM, BOBJ, BODS and ChaRM and some experience in BTP - CPI.

You will:

• Serve as a SME for SAP S/4 HANA, SAP R/3 4.7, ECC 607, BW 7.0, ChaRM, IDM, BOBJ, BODS, BTP-CPI, Solution Manager 7.1, Enterprise Portals capabilities, and best practices.
• Perform core SAP Basis administrator functions including software installation and setup, enhancement pack and support pack installation and upgrade, performance monitoring, tuning and capacity management utilizing enterprise standards and leveraging best operating practices.
• Actively participate in SAP infrastructure design including server, storage, high availability, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Support SAP Landscape strategy through client copies and system refreshes.
• Prepare formal documentation, including specifications, requirements summaries, logical system design documents, state diagrams, and test scripts.
• Monitor, analyse, and identify trends for system performance and resource utilization.
• Respond to system problems on a 24x7 basis and take part in on-call rotation.
• Assist with change control, incident response, and testing processes for infrastructure changes or problems across the SAP landscape.
• Collaborate with database administration resources in a Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle environments.
• Collaborate across IT functions including server team, networking, and security teams to assist in driving out solutions for SAP that meet our standards and go forward operating plans.

Your profile

Your profile:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Proven experience managing complex SAP landscapes with multiple integrated components.
• Strong knowledge of SAP system architecture, transport management, and system upgrades.
• Experience with HA/DR setup and support.
• Familiarity with OpenText integrations and SAP security concepts is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Remuneration for this role is structured in accordance with this award, with classification level and salary determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
