Your Role
The successful candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale network infrastructures, with a focus on security, wireless, voice, and data centre technologies.
The ideal candidate should have experience with primarily Cisco Meraki, Cisco ACI, Cisco devices, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ISE, Checkpoint firewalling, F5 load balancers, and wireless networks. Additionally, having architectural certifications or frameworks such as TOGAF will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructures that align with evolving business and technical requirements.
- Establish and maintain network security policies, standards, and guidelines that align with internal governance, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with application, data, and voice teams to ensure network infrastructure and security designs support all functional and operational needs.
- Conduct assessments of existing network architecture and provide recommendations for enhancements in performance, security, and resilience.
- Design and deploy network segmentation strategies, firewall rules, and access control lists to protect critical systems and data.
- Plan, design, and execute network upgrades, replacements, and new deployments to support business growth and modernization.
- Monitor and fine-tune network performance, latency, and availability to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in network infrastructure and security.
- Collaborate with technology partners and vendors to assess and recommend new tools, platforms, and solutions.
- Develop and update technical documentation, including network architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and policy manuals.
- Provide expert guidance during incident management and troubleshooting to resolve network issues efficiently.
Your Profile
- At least 5 years of experience in network architecture, design, and engineering.
- Strong expertise in Cisco ACI, Cisco devices, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ISE, Checkpoint firewalling, F5 load balancers, and wireless networks.
- Experience with network architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Experience with network segmentation, firewall policies, and access control lists.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS and Azure.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications:
- Highly Regarded Certifications (one or more preferred):
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) – minimum strongly preferred
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr)
- Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) or higher
- F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA) or higher
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Wireless or equivalent wireless networking certification
- TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture framework
