Delivery Executive, Financial Services

Your role:

 

 

As the Client Delivery Executive, you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery performance on a significant Financial Services (Banking) account, ensuring client satisfaction, delivery quality, and economic performance across all engagements. The role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence, managing delivery risk, and enabling industrialized delivery at scale, while acting as a senior escalation point for complex delivery challenges.

 

You will be the Leader of all Delivery capability for the account, assigning missions across your team. You will lead, evolve, and inspire your team to be client centric, retaining and growing the account whilst collaborating across the wider financial services sector, the Business Unit (BU) and all of our Global Business Lines (GBLs)  and Application Business Lines (ABLs) to achieve the very best for our client and Capgemini. You will serve as a crucial link between the client’s business needs and technological innovation, ensuring they derive maximum value from their investments.

 

The position combines delivery leadership, client management, and the implementation of innovative technology and AI driven solutions, making it ideal for individuals who excel in managing complex projects and fostering client relationships.

 

You are already Melbourne based, with Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

 

  • Drive the governance required to proactively manage delivery risks, margin improvement levers, and critical staffing topics for the account.
  • Maximize growth opportunities through delivery led sales.
  • Drive productivity and efficiency through industrialized assets, services, and GenAI-enabled delivery levers.
  • Review and validate delivery architecture, execution plans, and governance models to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage and execute delivery on key client projects, including ensuring alignment with contractual commitments, commercials and client expectations.
  • Build and maintain key client stakeholder relationships to further the Financial Services (FS) business and the BU more broadly.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for delivery issues.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with Capgemini’s global business lines  (GBLs) and Application Business Lines (ABLs) across the Market Unit (MU) and Client Partner colleagues.
  • Drive project outcomes with a focus on AI solutions for business-critical engagements whilst managing risks and client relationships.
  • Supervise delivery by coordinating with engagement and program managers.
  • Drive delivery quality, profitability, and productivity across the portfolio of client projects.
  • Ensure financial performance of engagements align with budget and profitability targets for the account.
  • Anticipate problems before they occur; define the problem or risk; identify possible causes and manage escalations as required to resolution with direct involvement where needed.
  • Drive additional programs of work and revenue opportunities with the client during through exceptional project delivery – delivery led sales.
  • Mentor others, formally or informally, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth mind set for professional growth.

Your Profile:

 

 

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, complex delivery portfolios within a global consulting or technology services environment.
  • Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI) sector experience is preferred
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across clients, delivery teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in delivery risk management, contract governance, and financial performance management.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivery industrialization, automation, and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Ability to operate as a senior escalation point and resolve complex delivery and client challenges.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Ability to develop and implement delivery strategies and processes.
  • Technical knowledge: understanding Capgemini’s portfolio of services and the delivery process.

 

We know this is a broad remit, so we’re looking for evidence of strength in multiple areas, not perfection. Ideally, you bring:

 

  • 15+ years of delivering technology solutions at an enterprise level.
  • Strong understanding of technologies, delivery methodologies, and platforms in regulated banking environments.
  • Project Management certifications from a reputable, globally recognized training organization.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex solutions on Hyperscaler platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of program management methods evidenced by relevant certifications, such as, Agile, Scrum, Prince 2.
  • ITIL, SIAM
  • Proven track record in operational management in both senior internal roles and client-facing engagements.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate crises effectively and drive internal resolution activity.
  • Proven ability to lead teams (both on and offshore), with a track record of producing outcomes for clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
