Sr. Functional Tester

Your Role

  • Review insurance business requirements, including policy lifecycle processes (e.g., underwriting, claims, billing), Business Process Flow Diagrams, user stories, and epics, and translate these into detailed functional test scenarios, test cases/scripts, test data, and traceability matrices

  • Perform testing across multiple levels, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and support data migration testing related to policy and claims systems

  • Validate end-to-end workflows for insurance products, ensuring accuracy in areas such as policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and claims processing

  • Utilize test and defect management tools (e.g., qTest, Quality Center (QC), TFS, JIRA/Zephyr/Xray) for test case management, execution, and defect tracking

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, and developers to clarify insurance-specific requirements and scenarios

  • Support the Test Lead in test planning, execution tracking, and defect reporting, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of functional testing experience in Web and/or Mobile applications, preferably within the insurance domain

  • Strong understanding of insurance processes, such as underwriting, claims management, policy administration, and billing

  • Proven expertise across all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)

  • Experience in testing insurance systems (e.g., Policy Administration Systems, Claims Systems, Billing Systems) is highly preferred

  • Hands-on experience with test and defect management tools (e.g., qTest, QC, TFS, JIRA/Zephyr/Xray)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret insurance business requirements and translate them into test scenarios
