Solutions Architect
Your Role
- Define and own the enterprise API architecture strategy, establishing reference architectures, integration patterns, standards, and roadmaps that support the bank's digital transformation, ecosystem integration, and Open Banking initiatives.
- Lead API and integration solution design using RESTful APIs, event-driven and microservices architectures, domain-driven design principles, and industry frameworks (e.g., BIAN), ensuring scalable, reusable, and business-aligned solutions.
- Establish and govern enterprise API standards, including design guidelines, security frameworks, versioning strategies, and non-functional requirements such as performance, resiliency, observability, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner closely with business, product, enterprise architecture, and delivery teams to translate business capabilities and customer journeys into well-defined API products with clear service contracts, documentation, and lifecycle management.
- Provide architecture leadership and oversight across the API lifecycle, conducting architecture reviews, design assurance, and governance activities to ensure adherence to architectural principles, standards, and best practices.
- Drive API security and risk management practices, ensuring alignment with enterprise security controls, identity and access management frameworks, data protection requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Guide engineering and platform teams on API management platforms, cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD integration, and deployment patterns to achieve consistent, secure, and high-quality delivery outcomes.
- Champion API governance, catalog management, and reuse, enhancing API discoverability, promoting standardized services, reducing duplication, and minimizing technical debt across the enterprise landscape.
- Collaborate with enterprise and domain architects to ensure API and integration architectures align with the organization's target-state architecture, technology strategy, and modernization objectives.
- Monitor emerging technologies, industry trends, and banking standards, identifying opportunities to enhance the API ecosystem, improve developer experience, and accelerate innovation across the organization.
Your Profile
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise application, integration, and solution architecture within large-scale organizations.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise API strategies, API-led architectures, and integration platforms.
- Proven experience in the banking, financial services, or fintech sector, with strong understanding of digital banking, payments, channels, and Open Banking ecosystems.
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale digital transformation and modernization initiatives involving APIs, microservices, cloud, and hybrid architectures.
- Experience establishing architecture governance, standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps across multiple business domains.
- Strong background in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at senior management and executive levels.
