SAP WM Functional Consultant - Mid-level

Job Description

Qualifications: 

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree
• At least 5 years of working experience in SAP WM or related field is required for this position
• Minimum 4 years working experience in Support / SAP implementation project
• Experience and good knowledge in Warehouse Management. This covers both configuration, development and testing of the Warehouse Organizational Structure (such as storage bins, types, quants, etc), Core Document Flow (such as TRs, TOs, etc), Putaway and Picking Strategies, Key Warehouse Processes (such as impact of Inbound processes like GR or Outbound processes like GI on WM, etc) and WM vs. IM (Inventory Management)
• With strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment 
• With skills & experience to perform own tasks review
• With skills & experience to perform peer review 
• SAP certification is a plus
• Basic knowledge on Mobile Data Entry is a plus
• Basic ABAP knowledge is a plus
• Experience in SAP HANA is a plus
• Experience in LSMW/Authorization/Query/Data migration is a plus
• Exposure on other SAP modules like SD, MM, PP, VMS, etc. is a plus

Job Description - Grade Specific

Responsibilities: 

• Will be mainly part of the support team that will support Go-live and production system stability and would be required to attend weekly calls in US time and will have overlapping hours with US team occasionally
• Participates and provides bottom-up estimations for business requirements/developments.

• Conduct/Defines the business blueprint and design for any future implementation and enhancement (CR) projects
• Performs configuration, development, testing and documentation for SAP WM module

• Performs SAP prototyping and analysis tasks on new requirements that need to be explored

• Performs Functional Specification, Functional Acceptance Testing, Integration & Regression Testing, PRD migration, PRD validation, Go-live Support on Implementation or Change requests/enhancements Projects
• Leads user training sessions by creating user manuals and conducts training or UAT sessions as necessary
• Creates data migration specifications
• Analyses Warehouse management (WM) incidents raised by customer and provides solution (AMS)

• Works closely with Project Lead/Manager by sending status reports religiously and raising issues/risks as early as possible.
• Handles medium to complex WM tasks
• Liaises with other teams (Basis, OTC, PTP, VMS, etc) 
• Follows the best SAP WM practices to ensure quality of own & team’s deliverables.
• Participates as part of a multi-cultural team and maintain good relationships with team members.
• Trains other consultants on any SAP WM skills; Can conduct bootcamp as necessary
• Eager to learn, build his SAP knowledge and be an expert on one or more SAP WM skills; learning technical skills like ABAP code understanding and debugging are encouraged
• Comply with all CG company policies and procedures such as on-time completion of ESS, training and the like.
